Friends of Maine Lacrosse is dedicated to promoting and supporting the growth of lacrosse in Maine by providing unity amongst all programs and services to inspire participation while protecting the integrity of the sport.

Friends of Maine Lacrosse was formed in 2018 to fill the void in the state that was left when US Lacrosse dissolved its chapter-based volunteer model. The Lacrosse community in Maine is a special place and the unity is amongst the people involved is uncommon in today's world. FOML is committed to helping to grow the game in our state while providing unity between all the groups involved with the game.
There are many grants available for lacrosse. Grants range from Physical Education grants, equipment grants and diversity & inclusion grants. For more information, go to the Lacrosse Grants page.
The Maine Lacrosse Hall of Fame was established in 2020. It's purpose is to honor men and women, past and present, who by their deeds as players, coaches, officials, or administrators have contributed to the growth of lacrosse in Maine and the stature of Maine lacrosse nationally, and who by the example of their lives, personify the great contribution of lacrosse to our way of life. Maine has 9 varsity and 1 club program offering both men's and women's lacrosse. All of Maine's varsity lacrosse programs play at the Division III level.
Maine has multiple lacrosse programs for boys and girls K-12 that offer all forms of programming. From skills and drills, to leagues, private training, camps and travel teams, there is something for everyone.
Maine has a rich history of post-collegiate lacrosse. There are leagues for both men and women. More information to come soon.
