Who We Are

The Friends of The North Park Library is a chapter of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library. The Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) is a §501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation which is comprised of Friends' chapters at each of the 36 branch libraries in the City of San Diego — 34 affiliate chapters, which share a tax identification number, plus 2 associate chapters which are separately incorporated.

The Mission of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library is to enhance the San Diego Public Library System so that it may fulfill its literary, educational, technological, community, and cultural purposes.

FONPL Book Sales

Join us every first Saturday, 10 am - 12 pm, in front of the North Park Library, for our book sale! Books are priced at $3 or less. 

Bi-Monthly Dinner with Friends

Every other month, on the third Thursday at 6 pm, current Friends members can join board members for dinner at the library! Our next dinner will be May 16, 2024 at 6 pm. RSVP before the date at rsvpdinnerwithfriends@outlook.com 

FONPL at the North Park Farmers' Market

Visit us at the Thursday afternoon North Park Farmers' Market every first Thursday! Buy a book, become a member, or just say hi!

Can't make it to a Saturday book sale? Take a look at the books for sale through the Friends directly as you walk into the NP Library. Books are priced to sell - ask a librarian for assistance as needed.
