Friends of the North Park Library

Who We Are

The Friends of The North Park Library is a chapter of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library. The Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) is a §501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation which is comprised of Friends' chapters at each of the 36 branch libraries in the City of San Diego — 34 affiliate chapters, which share a tax identification number, plus 2 associate chapters which are separately incorporated. 

The North Park chapter of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library:

• raises funds to support our libraries and programs locally in North Park and system-wide;

• holds bi-monthly book sales to generate income;

• convenes monthly board meetings and meetings every other month for all active Friends members;

• engages in library advocacy.
