1.1) Customer/User List

As our only customer would be a branch or multiple branches of the armed forces, we have, made more of a distinction between users. Our main users consist of two distinct groups which require different, but overlapping functionalities. These groups are:

1- Infantrymen: This group is our primary concern, as it consists of the actual operators of the identification equipment, and the ones whom it will impact most directly. 

2- Officers: This group is our secondary focus, as commanding officers are typically removed from battlefield operations and will not be directly using the equipment, simply utilizing the data it provides.

Need: Identify troop affiliation

Requirement: System shall provide users with a means by which to identify targets as friendly or hostile


Need: System shall not reveal user's location

Requirement: System will require use of signal transmission that avoids antenna detection or enemy troops to avoid detection


Need: Light, compact, and sturdy unit with low maintenance

Requirements: System shall be portable, durable, and easily usable with a decent battery life


Need: Precise tracking of allied positions; defining characteristics that may not be directly discernable from surveillance

Requirement: System shall contain an easily readable interface showing ally positions that updates frequently
