What Is the Fish Ambassador Program?

The Fish Ambassador Program is a volunteer initiative under the FFC where community members help share information, lead activities, and support freshwater education.

What Ambassadors Do

• Assist with water education events

• Join community roves

• Share stories and knowledge about trout, fish identification, fishing regulations and best practices

• Model respectful behaviour around the river

Training & Support

Fish Ambassadors receive:

• Introductory freshwater ecology knowledge around native fish

• Education on fishing regulations in the Elbow Watershed

• Safety and communication guidelines

• Volunteer support from ERWP staff

• Opportunities to co-create new programs and ideas
