Hello! My name is Mr. Cyrus Taylor, and I am so excited to get to know you this year. In May 2015, I graduated from UNCW with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a Teaching License. After I graduated, I moved to Jacksonville, NC to teach Math 2, Math 3, Advanced Functions and Modeling, and Precalculus at Northside High School for four years. After the four years away, I'm was thrilled to be back in Wilmington.
I am also a very avid traveler and try to visit internationally at least once a year. In college I traveled to London, Paris, and Costa Rica through the EF Tours program. I also did five weeks of my student teacher internship in San Pedro Town, Belize. Belize is my happy place, and I have since gone back three more times. While at Northside, I led two student groups to Europe with EF Tours. One to London for a theater-based experience, and one this past summer to Italy and Spain. I work with Ms. Mannion, and Ms. Starnes to take students from IBEC abroad as well. In the summer of 2022, I took a group of students to Sweden, Norway, and Denmark with Mr. Spear. Ms. Mannion, Mr. Bishop and I also took a group to Belize in the same summer. If you're interested in hearing about the trips that we have coming up, let one of us know!
