This site details racism I have encountered at the Fremont Hindu Temple (Vedic Dharma Samaj ) in Fremont California starting on December 5, 2018.
The first page of this site contains the account of the initial incident of harassment by Manorama Joshi, a board member of the temple.
The second page details of the response by the rest of the temple board which included ignoring my written complaint and adding insult to injury when I visited the temple again to address the issue with other board members. This page also includes email correspondence between myself and Rajesh, the president of the temple. A recording of this exchange is linked so board members Rajesh's and Deepak's responses can speak for themselves.
Suffice it to say, they merely defended and made excuses for Manorama, gaslighted me, minimized the incident and its affect on me, and asserted their supposed "right" to refuse access to the space without ever actually dealing with the content of my complaint itself. They had a witness to part of the incident I invited them to call in but they refused to do so (as you can hear in the recording). They didn't care to treat me or the incident in good faith or respect and though Rajesh promised to address it, they never did. The date of this edit is 3/15/2019.
Recording of the Jan. 18, 2019 meeting with Rajesh and Deepak (also linked in the discussion page above).
