The Freedom Food Pantry received a grant from the Green Bay Packers Foundation. We were one of 213 organizations in human services that was awarded grant money.
Jeremy and Jessica Verkuilen's daughters Rayna and Jovie coordinated a neighborhood food drive this summer and donated 152 pounds of food to the pantry.
A huge Thank You to Freedom Wrestling Club for having Freedom Food Pantry benefit from their annual "Pin Down Hunger" fundraiser. Dean from Safelite and Doreen from Ansay pose with a food donation to the Freedom Food Pantry collected in a recent food drive. Christmas will be brighter for many because of the organization and generosity of the employees.
Jim, owner of Irish Waters Golf Club & McMulligans Pub had an end of the year party each year for family and friends. Spielbauer fireworks of Green Bay provide the entertainment. For the past few years they collected grocery items for the food pantry. This year they collected 548 lbs of groceries and cash donations. We also received a generous gift card for Festival Foods from Spielbauer fireworks.
Carol Jens with Freedom Moravian Church delivered food items to the pantry.
Tom Brown and Toby Paltzer from Wide Awake Forward 4H donated squash, potatoes, beets and onions to the pantry.
The Green family and Thrivent donated food in memory of Beatrice Green.
Dan and Barb Abel donated almost 100 #’s of beef and venison to the Freedom Food Pantry just in time to make Christmas merrier for lots of hungry people.
Dr. Heather Heil of Dental Expressions and Betty Konkle representative from the Freedom Food Pantry smile broadly as they look over the 653 pounds of food collected for the pantry. Food was collected from Reveal Fitness, Exquisite Hair Salon and Freedom’s Dollar General. Then Dental Expressions DOUBLED the amount collected.
