The A walk, led by Christine, starts at Kirkstone to ascend Red Screes, continuing NW over Scandale Pass to Dove Crag, Hart Crag and Fairfield then NE over St Sunday Crag to Grisedale Bridge and N to Glenridding.

The B walk, led by Gay and Jayne, starts at Glenridding and heads N alongside the main road for 2.6 miles then visits Aira Force. It continues around the flanks of Gowbarrow Park, Great and Little Meldrum to pick up a minor road heading NE to just past Bennethead which it leaves to visit Maiden Castle. From there it's 1.4 miles to the end at Pooley Bridge.

The C walk, led by Chris, starts at Sykeside, then past Hartsop Hall and along Brothers Water. A short section of road takes us to Hartsop where we turn left to descend the valley. Just before Side Farm we turn right to go North on the higher path along Ullswater. Near Blowick we turn left and return to Side Farm on the lower path. Turning right we return to Glenridding. The walk is on fairly straightforward paths and tracks with some sections of road.
