The A walk, led by Jim, is, if conditions are dry, an exciting ascent of Blencathra from Threlkeld via Hall's Fell, last done in 2018 (photos). Whilst Hall's Fell sounds like a grassy ridge it is in fact a rocky scramble. There are avoiding paths on either side of the ridge except for a couple of places where the ridge cannot be avoided, so not for the faint-hearted. The bad weather alternative is via Doddick Fell. After the pleasures of the ridge there is a gentle amble to Mungrisdale Common followed by a descent to the Cumbria Way. We then climb to the top of Lonscale fell via the wonderfully named Burnt Horse Ridge, dropping down again to the Cumbria Way before the final ascent of the day to Latrig and on to Keswick.

The B walk, led by Gay & Jayne is a circular from Keswick startingg where the bus symbol is on the map. It heads E on an unnamed minor road, over the A66, then NE through Brundleholme Wood to its end at Glederaterra Beck. Crossing over the Beck bridge it continues NE to Blencathra Centre to turn N on a bridleway to the Guide Stone on the Cumbria Way. Turning S the CW is followed around Lonscale Fell and Latrigg SW back to Keswick.
