26th May - Ambleside

,A,C & D routes are circular from the Rothay Rd coach & HGV car park. The B's start from Windermere.

The A walk, led by Yvonne, is the anti-clockwise Fairfield Horseshoe starting along Scandale rather than the Low Sweden route, as last done in Sept 2013. As can be seen on the elevation profile, the gradient is easier than the usual clockwise route but it's still a demanding walk which will take the best part of 7 hrs.

The B walk, led by Jayne, starts at Windermere station and takes in Orrest Head, Troutbeck and Wansfell on the way to Ambleside. The map and GPX are copied from the same walk in Apr 2019 which ended at Waterhead.

The C walk, led by Gay, is an anticlockwise round of Loughrigg.

Thelma will lead a D walk through Rydal Park to Rydal then down to Pelter Bridge and back along the track past the stepping stones and on to Ambleside. A really easy walk.
