9th July 2023 - Grasmere

JimThe A walk, led by Christine, is a clockwise circular to Fairfield from Grasmere. The outward leg follows Tongue Gill to Hause Gap then via Grisedale Tarn to Deepdale Hause, Cofa Pike and Fairfield. Return is S over Great Rigg, Heron Pike and Lord Crag turning NE to Alcock Tarn and Greenhead Gill then SE back to Grasmere.

The B walk, led by Brian, is an anticlockwise circular from Grasmere starting S to Elterwater then generally E past Loughrigg Tarn to overlook Ambleside at Miller Brow. Turning N it follows the River Rothay to Rydal then WNW back to Grasmere

The C walk, led by Jim, starts from Ambleside Waterhead car park to take the path to Rothay Manor and along the road to Rothay Park. Then alongside the River Rothay to near Rydal and the path above and south of Rydal Water to Loughrigg Terrace. It then descends to Grasmere shore and finally along the lane into Grasmere.
