13th Oct 2019 - Hebden Bridge

The A walk, led by Jim, starts on the Burnley Way where it crosses the A646 Burnley Road at SD862300. Heading NE it passes Hurstwood Res to pick up the E bound Pennine Bridleway which is followed past Widdop Res then SE below Gorple Lower Res. At Gorple Cottages we leave the PW on a track heading E along the S flank of Black Dean, contouring S to follow a lower path wending along Hebden Dale and on to Hebden Bridge.

The B walk, led by Geoff, is a circular from Hebden Bridge. Heading N it follows Hebden Water to meet the Haworth to Hebden Bridge Way at New Bridge. The Way is followed along Hebden Date to Hardcastle Crags and on to Walshaw where the Way is left heading generally E under Shackleton Knoll to pick up the southbound Way returning from Haworth. This heads S on the W edge of Crimsworth Dean to it's start at New Bridge where we turn E, crossing the A6033 then S on a path back to Hebden Bridge.

The C walk, led by Margaret, follows the Rochdale Canal from Todmorden through Hebden Bridge continuing for half a mile before returning to Hebden Bridge.
