The A walk, led by Christine, is an end-to-end from Whalley to Barley. From Whalley it goes over Whalley Bank to follow the River Calder, over Cock Bridge then on a footpath which crosses the A671 to Read Hall. Continuing NE it follows footpaths and a road past Robinson's Wood and Hillside Farm to Whalley Road and on to Sabden. From there it ascends Pendle Hill via Oxden Clough, continuing N to descend to turn R on Pendle Road at Lane Head. A footpath cuts the corner between Pendle Road and Barley Lane which is followed down to Barley.

The B walk, led by Chris, is a circular from Barley to Pendle. Starting off N it goes round Lower Black Moss Res before turning W to Windy Harbour and across Barley Lane to climb Pendle Hill. Heading S along the hill it descends to Ogden Clough then turns E to follow the Pendle Way to Newchurch in Pendle. Continuing down Barley Bank it passes Thorny Bank to reach Pendle Water which is followed W back to Barley.

The C walk (leader nya) is the Three Villages Walk from Barley to Roughlee and Newchurch detailed here. A circular taking in three of Pendle's picturesque villages. A riverside walk takes you from Barley to Roughlee, where after passing Roughlee Old Hall and crossing the stepping stones, there is a short climb to reveal a wonderful panorama of Pendle Hill. The walk then follows the ridge along Noggarth before briefly descending and then ascending to reach Newchurch in Pendle. The walk then drops down across a few fields to Heys Lane, which is followed back in to Barley.
