‘A’ party, led by Heather and Harry, will set out from Ribchester car park (Pope Croft) via Stydd to Spire Hill trig point on Longridge Fell, returning via Stock Bridge and Higher Hud Lee. 12 miles approximately. 6½ hours with 2 hours of gradual ascent at start.

‘B’ party, led by Tom(Bill) and Gerry, will set out from the car-park in Ribchester for Boyce’s Farm, Oak Bank, Duddel Wood, Manor House Farm, Higher Hud Lee, Greengore, Higher Deer House, Stonyhurst Park, Hurst Green and then follow the Ribble Way back to Ribchester. 10 miles. No great heights. The going might be a bit soft in places.

‘C’ party, led by Pat and Thelma, will leave Ribchester car-park and follow the Ribble Way to Hothersall Hall, across country to Ox Hey and then on to Butchers Fold and Elm House. Return to Ribchester is via Pinfold and Singleton House and over to Stydd. A circular walk of approx. 6½ miles with a few slight gradients.
