A party, led by Roy and Dorothy, will start from the A684 at Stacks Lane, near Ingmire Park about 1½ miles from Sedbergh. Initially we will go back along the road towards the bridge and will then follow the River Lune upstream along the Dales Way before veering off along footpaths and minor roads to Howgill. We then go up Fell Head and follow the main path to The Calf via Breaks Head and White Fell Head. Eventually heading towards Winder and the down to Sedbergh. 12 miles with 3100 feet of ascent.

B party, led by Dot and Hilary, will set out from Sedburgh to Howgill Lane, Lockbank Farm, Winder, Arant Haw, Craggstones, High Branthwaoite, Slacks Lane, Height of Winder and back to Sedbergh along Howgill Lane. 1900 ft of ascent and about 8 miles.

C party, led by Jean and Rod, is 6½ miles circular from Sedbergh. The route is via Stone Hall then down the River Rawthey at Straight Bridge, along to New Bridge and Millthrop Bridge then on the Dales Way to Birks and Brigflatts before returning to Sedbergh. Generally easy walking but there are stiles.
