The A walk, led by Harry, will set out from New Dungeon Ghyll Car Park up the Band to the Climbers’ Traverse, Great Slab and Crinkle Crags , then down into Langdale Valley via Great Knott, passing under Pike O’Blisko.

11 miles in 6 ½ hours or so, covering 3,700 ft of arduous ascent and challenging descents with good views if the weather permits.

The B walk, led by Elfyn and Chris, starts at Ambleside for Tod Crag, Loughrigg Tarn, Skelwith Bridge, Little Langdale, Blea Tarn, Side Pike and Dungeon Ghyll. Approx. 9 miles with overall ascent of 1700ft.

For a shorter walk there is a good walk down the Langdale Valley from Clappersgate to Skelwith Bridge, Elterwater, Chapel Stile, and then along the Cumbria Way to Dungeon Ghyll. 7 miles of easy walking.
