Our Rambling Club runs trips on the 4th Sunday of each month from January to November. Walks typically start around 10.30, often from a drop-off en route, and the coach parks where there are refreshments nearby, aiming to leave at 5.30 (earlier in the winter months). We try to be as informal and relaxed as possible whilst providing a safe and friendly environment for those who like to spend a day out in the countryside.

The coach fare is £15. There is a £12 annual membership fee, and new walkers can come with us 3 times before deciding to join.

Pickups start at Blackpool Squires Gate then through St Annes, Lytham & Warton to Preston Eastway (map). Typical start and finish times (from Lytham) are 8.15am to 7.00pm and we usually have spare capacity on the coach.

There are 3 grades of walks

A usually 12 to 14 miles, B usually 8 to 11 miles & C usually 6 to 8 miles, each with related levels of ascent or difficulty.

Details, including map, mileage, ascent and notes of steep sections, are published up to a month in advance so that you can decide which will be most suitable. Each walk will be led by an experienced member. You may also make up your own walk, or simply use the coach to visit the area. When details are published there is a link to details of our next trip in the header above and in the Walks & Booking page which also shows the dates and destinations for all this year's walks.

If you are not experienced we suggest starting with a C then working up until you find your level.
