Financial Transparency Statements as of 12/21

Grand Junction Free Promwear has been operating as an unregistered not-for-profit organization. This will change moving forward as boards and committees are organized and paperwork filed.

In the past, the organization under the name Grand Junction Prom Dress and Menswear Giveaway was granted funds from the Elks. They used this grant to purchase some promwear (specifically menswear), storage totes, dressing room dividers, and clothing racks.

Cash Donation Policies

For the future, the Grand Junction Free Promwear organization will attempt to receive only gifts-in-kind but will accept cash donations and will record those expenditures here. If you would like to donate, we ask you first check our wishlist and fill out our Notification of Donation form. We will reach out to you to try to arrange the best way to receive your donation, for example, having you order online for curbside pickup, or purchasing gift certificates to a salon for hair services.

There are some non-material expenses such as the cost of printing, storage, and uhaul to which any no-strings financial contributions would be applied. Of course, the preference would be to arrange direct payment to the service provider.
