Hello folks,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues controlling your Nest Thermostats with your Google Home speaker. We'd be happy to take a look at this.

To avoid confusion with the general commands. Please give this command a try: "Ok Google, set the thermostat to Off mode" or "Turn thermostat to Off mode". You can also try by saying the name you've provided followed by the command.

Hello Whatsup1,

I'm sorry to hear the issue still persists. Please make sure that the thermostat and the Google Home speaker are connected to the same Wi-Fi connection. Are other commands compatible with your Google Home speakers? Please try to control Google Nest or Home devices by voice with its sample commands.

to the point that I have given up. The main feature we used to enjoy from the nest, now google thermostat and the assistant, was the ability to control or modify the heat or AC basic functions and temperatures via voice command. It is now lost completely. Although, google assistant will still tell me the temperature information, it will no longer modify it.

Yes, I am using the app to control the thermometer as voice command no longer works. I have tried all of the steps mentioned above. (I have reset, removed, factory reset, and re-installed both the home speaker and the Nest Thermostat.) I had already tried all of these steps even before finding this page. They are all on the same wifi. As a former developer, I understand the steps needed to take to troubleshoot these kinds of issues. The connection between the devices is not the issue as people from all across the States are clearly stating that they have the same problem. At this point it leads to the fact that it was probably a Google update that messed things up. Saying that it is any other problem at this point is kind of moot. And creating a routine is not the answer as the temperature fluctuates. The point is that I would like to be able to talk to my Nest to change the temperature like it used to do. Especially in the middle of the night when the lights are off. I don't want to have to turn on my phone and have a bright screen in my eyes. Will there be an update fix to this at any point?

I already tried that, but again - I can use voice commands to control volume on the Chromecast. And I can use the Google assistant app on my phone to turn the TV on/off, so I do not think it is related to connectivity :)

I've tried removing and re-adding these devices to Google home, using custom names etc. but it seems like it's a Sonos assistant issue not being able to successfully send this one command to the chromecast.

Hi @user69058. You should be able to use voice commands to access Live View from your Ring Doorbell or Camera. To view live activity from your Ring Doorbell or Security Camera, you can use the voice commands below:

Learn voice command tips for using the Xfinity Voice Remote (Models XR11, XR15 and XR16) to change channels, search for shows, view recommendations, troubleshoot, view a bill, view an appointment and more!

To change the channel using your Voice Remote, press the Voice (Microphone) button, which activates Voice Control, and say something similar to the following voice commands:

The Digital Voice Command (DVC) is the heart of a full featured audio command center providing voice evacuation for Emergency Communications and Mass Notification applications. The ability to play 8 simultaneous messages and network multiple DVCs across a campus or within a large facility enables the system to deliver the right message to the right people at the right time. This capability allows for an appropriate and targeted response for any type of emergency or non-emergency event, as well as broadcast general information. The firefighters/emergency telephone option enables two-way communication between command centers and distributed emergency telephones.

Yeah sorry about this Siri shortcut part. When I was trying to do the custom voice command and the repeat command afterwards. I realize that I was repeating a Siri Shortcut that was a custom voice command.

You can also choose to use the voice assistant of your paired, compatible smartphone, such as Siri on iPhone devices or Google Assistant on Android devices. This can only control functions supported by your phone (e.g., calling, calendar, texts, map apps). Your phone must be connected through Bluetooth or the USB data port.

Next, as @ogiewon mentioned, Amazon very recently added the ability to use a custom action as the last step in an Alexa routine. This will be the exact equivalent of speaking that particular command to Alexa. So, if your custom skill is triggering a skill which has a call and response format, that skill will be activated and that call and response format will take place.

Saying "Hello Nissan" will activate the Voice Control, and the user will be able to control in-vehicle equipment (e.g. navigation, audio, and air-conditioning systems, telephone, etc.). Users do not need to speak accurate command, such as set destination," and facility names as it was previously the case. Instead, users can easily set the destination by speaking in a natural language (e.g. xxx (a cafe) nearby").

Nissan's personal assistance technology, which controls in-vehicle equipment, is equipped with the hybrid voice recognition function that uses two types of voice recognition engines in order to achieve both speed and accuracy. The in-vehicle voice recognition engine swiftly responds to simple utterances, while the cloud voice recognition engine responds to more complex utterances and accurately estimates user's intention through an telematics communication unit.

There's a lot of voice command recognition built in when you publish a project for Realwear. Any button will be automatically configured to be "speakable" based on the text label. So, for example, if you have a button in your UI that says "Next", the use wearing the headset can just say "Next" to trigger the button press.

If you need more than that, you can use Javascript to insert "data-wml-speech-command" attributes onto UI elements to make them available for activation using voice commands. You can see some examples of the required markup here: -center/developer/environments/html-env/html-api/

With Voice Command (Preview), you can use your voice to find or open games, apps and settings, capture gameplay or control media playback. Just speak into the mic on your controller or headset to give a command.

Does Voice Command (Preview) record my voice?

Your speech is recorded after you say "Hey PlayStation!", or if you turn on Voice Command (Preview) from the control center. Speech recording ends when you stop giving voice commands. By default, Voice Command (Preview) stops listening for your speech after 4 seconds of inactivity.

I don't recall if this has been discussed before, so I'll mention it here. You can use your voice to trigger Keyboard Maestro macros. I do it every day to trigger some of my macros. Here's an example. I have a simple/free App Store game called Pool and I can trigger it by creating a small Automator script which is triggered by the macOS dictation assistant. Here's what the Automator script looks like:

As you can see able, you have to say "Computer" before you speak, but if you uncheck that box you can even avoid saying that word. (a macOS voice recognition popup box stays on the screen then, which I find annoying, so I say the keyword "Computer" instead.)

I turned on the Enhanced Dictation (which downloads a huge file from Apple in order to do voice recognition locally. I'm not sure if it's a requirement for all this to work. I downloaded it years ago and haven't gone back.) e24fc04721
