I have a Samsung Galaxy Watch Active. Everytime I download a watch face from Facer, the previous one I downloaded from Facer is not saved anywhere on my watch. I have to download it again. Anytime I download watch faces from Galaxy Store they remain saved on my watch so that I can go back to them later and use them again. I am just wondering if there is a way to save the watch faces from Facer on my watch?

I have just updated two Apple watches to 10.0.1 and all of my watch faces except one have disappeared. They look to be still on my iPhone but I have not found an easy way to get them back on the watches. Does anyone know if this was intended by Apple because I think I have updated the software before without losing any of the faces. Is there a simple 'bluetooth' fix to this ?

All you need do is put your finger on the watch face and hold it there. The watch face will shrink and then you swipe the faces L or R until the face you want appears. When it does, tap the face and Bingo!!

Press and hold your watch face in the middle. It will shrink. Once that happens scroll sideways; your selection of watch faces is there. When you scroll to the one you want, tap it. If this does not work, you will need to visit an Apple store. Good luck.

Unfortunately after upgrading to the 10.1.1 I have lost all previous saved watch faces. The hold watch face fix has not brought back my pre update faces. Also the there is a very limited range of Modular ones that I prefer. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

Please revert back to allowing us to swipe between faces. I find it a bit dangerous riding my bicycle on a workout and trying to hold the face down instead of quickly swiping left to access walkie-talkie after I tap the Digital Crown.

yes. i just checked and all permissions are allowed. I have seen others having the same problem it seems this is a common issue, although the post i read the step counter was a bit off compared to what his health app was saying while mine is WAY off. My watch face says 1207 steps while samsung health says over 15,000 steps.

OK, next have you checked to make sure your watch is running the latest Facer companion app and also the latest GW4 watch software? There have been recent updates for both of them to fix issues. On both of my GW4s the step count stays exactly with what the Samsung health app and the step widget on the watch says.

Facer is having issues with the new WearOS 3 on the Fossil gen 6 and the new Google Pixel Watch. Sometimes trying to fix one issue on one watch will cause issues on other watches. Last year when they added the Galaxy Watch 4 we went through that same thing with the older WearOS watches and the Tizen watches.

+! for me too. Seems like an issue with the latest software update. All of my Connect IQ downloaded watch faces show as "IQ!" in the watch face selection menu and won't work. If I deinstall them, restart the watch and then reinstall, they will reappear and work for a few hours, but then they are disabled and the "IQ!" comes back without warning. I even did a full reset/repair of the watch but that only solved the issue temporarily.

A couple years ago I spent several weeks designing a series of custom watch faces. This exercise was undertaken with the knowledge that none of these designs would likely ever see the light of day, but once I got started I just kept having idea after idea for cool or interesting concepts to try.

One of my first ideas was an analog watch face that shows the temperature and precipitation forecast around the hours of the clock. This provides a nice visual sense of what the upcoming weather is, without needing to be overly textual and verbose. This has become the Weather style where the next 24 hours of weather is shown around the ring.

Another aspect to custom watch faces I did a bit of exploration on was hand styles. Second only to color, the shape of the hands on an analog clock define the immediate visual impact of a watch. They can be elegant or utilitarian, simple or flourished, precise or general. Each carrying with it a distinctive feel. For my custom watch face experiments I created an homage to the Nomos Metro watch. I love how precise and elegant its hands are.

So, there's a lot of talk about battery usage and one factor seems to be the watch face you're using. They say an animated watch face is likely to drain more battery....this is quite vague though as all are animated in some way.

What I want to know is, how can you tell without testing if a watch face is going to drain the battery? Also, is there an unofficial list of faces that are battery kind, and equally importantly, which are not.

No list of ones gentle on power. But it not a big deal really - if you try one that chews i to your battery life, just change it for another! I have tried several faces over the time I have had mine and have not hit any that use up a lot of battery life, but I do prefer minimalistic faces without animations etc.

Just wanted to add my experience, was getting around 4 days with custom faces / some of the Fitbit ones, now use the Fitbit one called layers, and I get 7 days, sometimes 6 sometimes 8.. that's with quick view off but notifications on.. so to me the face makes a huge diff but it does suck that the ones I like least hold the battery the longest. The ones I love chew through my battery.. I lose 12 % a day, and I changed it to another one now with more stats and lost 3 % in 2 hours!

I see what you mean Nathan. Definitely makes sense that those pulling in multiple data streams are going to need more juice. Great idea about ratings for faces. So many to choose from, sorting through them is pretty time-consuming.

I believe the face you are using is "Stats" by Fitbit. This is the same face I use, I've decided to stick with Fitbit made faces. I tried a 3rd party one but as well as reducing battery life it also made my device very laggy. e24fc04721
