I'm based in the USA. I've been researching all the different video streaming services and Amazon Prime Video actually seems to offer a decent amount of classic kung fu movies, so I'm considering trying it out. Has anyone tried any other services? Are there perhaps any Asian companies that offer video streaming of martial arts movies?

We also read out comments from Fu followers around the world who have been telling us their favourite martial arts movies of the year over email and social media. We also discuss some of the films that we disliked in 2023, and look ahead to the martial arts movies we are most looking forward to in 2024.

Above I linked a really cool movie that just came out in China, called The Last Warrior Journey. You can find tons of great free martial arts movies that users will upload to youtube despite the fact that it breaks terms of service. I'm a big advocate of making sure martial artists and actors get paid for their work, so please be a good fellow martial artist and purchase your films or streaming services (stop bumming off your mom's account!) and ensure everyone is happy.

Spiderman had some amazing choreographed fight scenes, animation and intense suspense. Equally good, in a different super hero realm emerged Disney's first Martial Arts Movie Shang Chi. Well, that's also if you don't count Mulan as a martial arts movie (which I definitely do). Heck, even Dreamworks has been pumping martial arts scenes into movies for decades like in Shrek.

Amazon.com has a streaming version of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Streaming video on Disney+ Vudu has the movie. A viewing option is provided by Microsoft. The video is available on YouTube. See it on iTunes

Release dates for all Netflix and Amazon titles.

Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and Disney+ are the finest places to watch the top martial arts movies on DVD or Bluray in 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2010 respectively.

Yimou Zhang serves as the film's director.

The film stars Chao Deng, Li Sun, and Ryan Zheng.

This time, Yimou Zhang returns with a highly anticipated martial arts film set in China's Three Kingdoms period following his disappointing historical epic 'The Great Wall.' Find out more here.

Toy Story and Inside Out come to mind when you think of Pixar, so a martial arts-laden epic adventure is a refreshing change of pace. It's a film that action movie buffs will want to see for both Ms. Tran's debut as a single protagonist and the high-quality animation throughout.

Although the stakes may be a little higher in this film than in the last one, the incredible cast of martial-arts experts, including the legendary TNA/WWE wrestling world champion, Rob Van Dam are certainly bringing their A-game.

Even though it's not a martial arts film, Hell Hath No Fury features an impressive cast of martial arts and action actors who helped create and star in the film. After watching Jesse V. Johnson's World War II drama, you won't be able to put it down. Nina Bergman shines as the protagonist in this picture.

Marvel Studios' "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" is the first Marvel Cinematic Universe martial arts film. If you're a newbie to film, we'd want to welcome you! Your adventure of exploration will benefit from a few additional hints from us. Even if you're a seasoned fan, is there ever a bad moment to rewatch a Jackie Chan classic? Of course not. (It was a rhetorical question, but no.)

The Wong Kar-magnificent, the This multi-decade story centres around Ip Man, the Chinese martial arts teacher who instructed Bruce Lee and became a household name. Additionally, Donnie Yen portrays Ip Man in a series of martial arts films that are currently available on Netflix. It's no surprise that "The Grandmaster" features some of Wong's best action sequences to date. To begin with, there's a stunning slow-motion fight between Ip Man and another character, a woman named Gong Er (Zhang Ziyi), in the rain, which serves as the film's most memorable sequence.

These films showcase a wide range of different martial arts film genres. For those who prefer a particular style, these films can serve as branches that lead to more of that style. I hope "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" will shed light on this extraordinary collection of jaw-dropping films by highlighting some of the genre's different main personalities and a rich and dynamic history.

Nonetheless, Shang Chi will finally enter the ever-expanding pantheon of superhero movies with plenty of martial arts action after decades of comic book experience. On KFK, you'll find a trailer and additional information!

"Kung Fu Killer" star Wang Baoqiang is known for his impressive performances in films like "The Shaolin Temple," and the teaser shows a reimagining of Jet Li's "Four Seasons" training montage. "Rising Shaolin" has the potential to be a standout among the next martial arts flicks.

"Mortal Kombat" is the only 2021 martial arts film to have a feverish anticipation due to Warner Bros.' entire 2021 slate adopting that release strategy, with the game's terrible fatalities brought to life in a way many would never have imagined possible.

No matter if you've never ever heard of these titles, you'll be blown away by the trailer and the character list, which show that no one will be sitting on the sidelines. "Mortal Kombatteaser "'s may already be the most exciting martial arts picture of the year, making one wonder how much more wild will the movie actually be!

Halle Berry has been slashed. I directed and starred in this Netflix and theater release about a washed-up MMA fighter trying to make a comeback. Like the original Rocky film, it has numerous parallels. However, Berry's battle choreography stands out above the rest. He shows true enthusiasm in both the dramatic and martial arts aspects of this fascinating topic.

Castle Falls is ranked as the seventh most beautiful waterfall in the world. One of the best entries of the year thus far. This martial arts action picture, directed by Dolph Lundgren and written and directed by Scott Adkins, is a superb and emotional martial arts film. Due to the Pandemic, it appeared that production would be a casualty; nevertheless, later production was resumed for a positive outcome.

Upon completing her goal of being undefeated in competition, she began her martial arts acting career starring in movies produced and filmed in Hong Kong. Her first movie, Yes, Madam alongside Michelle Yeoh, broke box office records making her a massive star in Hong Kong. After three years of living in Hong Kong, finishing seven films, she returned to the United States to continue her acting career. Today she has starred in over 60 movies and is currently working on upcoming projects.

Cynthia has been a role model for women in martial arts and film. In 1983, she became the first woman to grace the cover of Karate Illustrated. Cynthia is a proud inductee into the prestigious Black Belt Hall of Fame, along with Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. In 2016 she was the first martial artist (male or female) to be inducted into the prestigious International Sports Hall of Fame by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dr. Robert Goldman.

Born in San Francisco and raised in British Hong Kong, Lee was introduced to the Hong Kong film industry as a child actor by his father. However, these were not martial arts films. His early martial arts experience included Wing Chun (trained under Yip Man), tai chi, boxing (winning a Hong Kong boxing tournament), and apparently frequent street fighting (neighbourhood and rooftop fights). In 1959, Lee moved to Seattle. In 1961, he enrolled in the University of Washington.[8] It was during this time in the United States that he began considering making money by teaching martial arts, even though he aspired to have a career in acting. He opened his first martial arts school, operated out of home in Seattle. After later adding a second school in Oakland, California, he once drew significant attention at the 1964 Long Beach International Karate Championships of California by making demonstrations and speaking. He subsequently moved to Los Angeles to teach, where his students included Chuck Norris, Sharon Tate, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In the 1970s, his Hong Kong and Hollywood-produced films elevated the Hong Kong martial arts films to a new level of popularity and acclaim, sparking a surge of Western interest in Chinese martial arts. The direction and tone of his films dramatically influenced and changed martial arts and martial arts films worldwide.[9]

He is noted for his roles in five feature-length Hong Kong martial arts films in the early 1970s: Lo Wei's The Big Boss (1971) and Fist of Fury (1972); Golden Harvest's The Way of the Dragon (1972), directed and written by Lee; and Golden Harvest and Warner Brothers' Enter the Dragon (1973) and The Game of Death (1978), both directed by Robert Clouse.[10] Lee became an iconic figure known throughout the world, particularly among the Chinese, based upon his portrayal of Chinese nationalism in his films,[11] and among Asian Americans for defying Asian stereotypes in the United States.[12] Having initially learnt Wing Chun, tai chi, boxing, and street fighting, he combined them with other influences from various sources into the spirit of his personal martial arts philosophy, which he dubbed Jeet Kune Do (The Way of the Intercepting Fist).[13]

Lee died in July 1973, aged 32. Since his death, Lee has continued to be a prominent influence on modern combat sports, including judo, karate, mixed martial arts, and boxing, as well as modern popular culture, including film, television, comics, animation, and video games. Time named Lee one of the 100 most important people of the 20th century.

In 1956, due to poor academic performance and possibly poor conduct, he was transferred to St. Francis Xavier's College, where he was mentored by Brother Edward Muss, F.M.S., a Bavarian-born teacher and coach of the school boxing team.[18][23][24] After Lee was involved in several street fights, his parents decided that he needed to be trained in the martial arts. e24fc04721
