After a console restart it gets to the screen menu splash screen and then crashes after a few seconds. If I try to launch it again, it only gets to just after the Anvil screen and crashes. I've never had any game on my Series X do this.

I'm about 50 hours in and my game froze. No biggie it's happened a handful of times. Went to start it up, and now it loads to the main menu and I can't click anything. The game itself is loaded, the music is playing, the icon is flashing, but there's no input. I can't select load game, move my cursor, or anything.

Hello,

After exprole the horizon update my controller (MS Xbox controller, gen9) is not working properly in Forza horizon 5 (steam version) menus. Its impossible to navigate in menu since right stick, left stick, arrows, triggers and buttons are overresponding. Slightest touch in menu sends me couple of pages/cars etc. I have had this same problem couple of updates ago too, but it fixed itself after next update so I moved on.

Having the same issue now on PC. Just started doing it. Only thing that changed was the update.

Having to use my mouse to navigate menus, I can only imagine having it on Xbox, games literally unplayable at that point.

Basically, the game loads okay and I can get to the main menu, but as soon as I make any selection (to play the game, or to go to help & options, etc etc), the game freezes - sort of. The main menu's background continues rotating, as per the norm, and the music stays on, but no new screens load based on any of my selections and I can't back out; instead I'm stuck looking at the same main menu options as before, but they're frozen.

Game was working fine last night, completed building my Endermen farm shut it down, went to load game this morning froze on me couldn't exit menu had to manually shut off xbox 360 an restart, did 3 or 4 times, contacted Microsoft support they helped me format a brand new xbox 360 to factory specs and this time download digital copy of game hoping it would work since my other games all work but freezes at menu screen as soon as I click play game. Anyone know if they did a xbox 360 update and messed anything up in the coding to cause this, lost 3 months of buildings in 6 different worlds because this game isn't working properly now

So for starters I've had my xbox series x for around 8-9 month's and I rarely use it (maybe two or three time's a month) just due to not having time to. But last night I wanted to play so I turn it on and immediately could notice something was wrong. The menu was taking longer than before to load not by much but it was still noticeable. But then when I tried to open a game it would use to open pretty much immediately but now it was taking between 10 to 15 seconds to open the game. But what was weird is that some games would still open immediately while other wouldn't. Aside from that I tried to do quick resume and when doing so it was slow and even seem like the fps was dropping in the menu(something that didn't happen before). I've already tried to power cycle the xbox to no avail. I then tried to Mac address clear it that also didn't work. I also checked for updates and the xbox is up to date. I don't know if it's something with the update or my xbox but I dont really know how to fix this or if it can be fixed so I thought I would ask for help from some of you. (Thanks for reading this long ass essay lmao)

If you disagree, talk to a lot of people. Maybe you could start with the folk who originally implemented the code used for the console KSP cheat menu. They were proving you wrong in the cheat code for Gradius in 1985.

I also think it's unfair for squad to have added what PC players consider a feature, as a hidden part of the console games. From what I've read and seen, the consoles are already playing with a short deck, and any feature that can be included should, and easily. It should be an easily accessible, and well documented, menu in the game.

The second I read Squad's post I knew what they meant, but as evidenced in that same thread not everyone did. I think the statue of limitations on twee nostalgic obfuscations has been exceeded and if someone needs to do a search for how to access the menu they probably don't care about spoiling the secret.

On these forums the PC debug menu is often referred to. Phrases such as "just F12 it" (e.g. to fix a wonky contract that just won't complete) are frequently made. It's also referred to when it comes to testing and even challenges, such as "2G SSTO to Orbit" making use of to add a level of difficulty.

@Cydonian Monk yes, I believe that people will use the menu to complete achievements. But the good thing is that HyperEdit can't be put on the consoles (yet), so people will actually have to get to orbit and land on planets themselves.

Having watched a stream where it was under test, can confirm that debug menu usage does indeed disable trophies on the PS4 version, save for a few that slipped through (which were bugs, and a dev was watching the stream, so they've likely been patched). I'm not sure access alone is enough to trigger it, and I also don't know if the lock is by craft, save, or some combination of save, craft and state (vehicle operated at any point with any cheat active, any career resources manipulated). It'd be annoying if bringing up aero or thermo data one one craft made the whole save ineligible. I also wonder if reverts or loads to before a cheat was employed might clear the achievement lock by loading a state where it wasn't invoked.

I know this thread is old, but believe me, If we play video games, we end up discovering old systems. Me and all my freinds have the OG xbox, nintdendo, sega, and im working on getting Contra for the NES

My main things I wanted was to hit Select and Start (a combo that is very rare to use in games), to exit RetroArch cleanly. Then I wanted to use the ORB on a Xbox 360 controller just to access the menu, so I can save.

No, once you enable the toggle hotkey, ALL hotkeys only work when that toggle is held. You could disable that and exit cleanly by pressing the orb to bring up the menu, backing out the main menu and scrolling down to quit. Or run a keymapper (AntiMicro, Xpadder, ect.) in the background with a select + start key combo setup that presses the Esc key.

I decided to honor your good dev work by buying the battle pass. As I without BP made 57 steps I bought the crom for the Battle Pass, then the BP and afterwards I completed to step 60. But the earned emotes do not show in the emotes circle menu. Other earnings show where they should (as far as I looked).

Hi all, I am brand new here so forgive my ignorance. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my CSL DD which I will be using with an Xbox Series X for the time being. I know I have to use the driver to update the firmware, but is the software useful for anything else if I am going to be using an Xbox? In other words, if I adjust anything in the tuning menu or create presets, will they "work" with Xbox? Or will all of my wheel tuning be done in-game? Thanks for any info in advance!

up to 5 different setups can be saved on the wheelbase, so if you change something on the fly within the tuning menu it immediately effects the FFB of the CSL DD. This doesn't depend on the plattform you are using .

In the general settings, you'll find six sections: Network Settings, Personalization, TV & Display Options, Online Safety & Family, Volume & audio Output, and Power mode & startup. Each has expanded menus of course, but below you can read a little more about each and the reasons you might want to visit them.

If none of the other answers work for you, I found a definitive solution to this maddeningly dumb issue.Note: I'm translating this from my native language, there might be discrepancies in the menus' names.

Mandatory rant:

TBH it's borderline unacceptable from Microsoft that there isn't an accessible toggle for this one particular thing on Windows. Due to a crappy USB cable, my controller would frequently disconnect while playing, causing the driver or whatever to choke on the input, and next thing I know I can't browse ANY of Windows' Metro apps, including the start menu, the Settings app, and just about all sorts of basic functionality: they just start behaving as if I had the Tab key or an arrow key pressed down.

I had tried everything prior to this, only a reboot would fix it. Pretty stupid behaviour IMHO.

I'm just wondering if there's a way to stop an XBox controller from opening the menus in the oculus homes on a Rift S? I was trying to play a game on a big screen in one of my homes, but any time I pressed back or start it would just open the home's menu, which while not a huge deal did get annoying after a second.

If these steps do not work, we can try to reboot the headset by: turn off the headset. > Hold the Power and Volume Down buttons together until the menu loads. > Use the Volume Buttons to highlight Boot Device and press the Power Button. If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to reach out to us.

My issue isn't with pairing the controller. The controller ultimately works, however my issue is that when I press start or back on the controller while playing a game on a screen in my Oculus home, it opens the Oculus home inventory menu as well as the normal action of the buttons in said game. I'm more or less just wondering if I can make the buttons on the controller not interact with the home menus.

Hey there TheeDeath! It appears that you are having some issues with some of your controller buttons interacting with your home menu, we'd love to help you out with this! Which is why we want you to check out our Ideas Section of the Forum and share some feedback here. We look forward to hearing some of your suggestions! e24fc04721
