I finally resolved issue regarding alert ringtones. My alert tones were on phone. Just unable to get them on Ring app. 1) Internal storage . 2)Ringtones 3)Ring 4) audio. Copie any or all of the ring tones. Then move them to notifications folder back from the internal storage you started from. Than check your ring app. They should appear there. If not reinstall Ring app. Good luck folks. This drive me crazy that Amazon Ring nor Samsung could help. Happy new year all.

I'd like to offer assistance on this concern. Have you been able to use another cell phone with the security system? Do you use any other touchtone systems like our *611 service from your mobile phone? If you do, then do you still have the issue with those systems as well? Both these questions are key to finding where the cause and fix will include.

The only Verizon cell phone that has been tried and succeeded was calling from northern Minnesota, about 20 miles from the called land line associated with the security system. Three unique cell phones calling from the Minneapolis/St Paul area did not succeed. Also, where I previously was able to get the tones to register from Skype via my computer, I no longer can get through that way either, I have since talked to the security company again and they, in turn, talked to Honeywell, whose tech believes it to be a VoIP line or switching problem and suggested I try holding down the key for a longer period. On a touch pad, that is not effective and even using the internal keyboard of the Voyager does not actually lengthen the tone, I don't believe. I do agree that this appears to be a problem from the western Twin Cities to the called phone north of Brainerd, MN if that helps. Is there any network change that has taken place in the last two months that may have affected this activity? I've been successfully placing these calls from Verizon cell phones for six years with no problem.

I have no problem registering tones for any other service, auto phone systems, prescription lines, etc. All read the tones just fine. They are not, of course, in the same geographic area as the called land line, so I don't know how relevant that is.

Actually it's possible. It's not so obvious and not so elegant. But it works :)In my project I requested permission for accessibility service. It gives me possibility to programmatically emulate clicks on the screen. Then I get the screen coordinates for the 'open keyboard' button and all number buttons which I need to press (tones which needed to be send). Then it's super easy - catch income call with receiver, make small delay and then run sequence of emulated clicks.

I have an international Samsung Galaxy S III (I9300). I got this to work under CM 11 by opening the Phone app, hitting the dotted line for settings, and then un-checking the "Dial pad touch tones" option.

I had a similar problem of not hearing the touch tones. It turned out to be that the volume for "Music, video, games, & other media" was set to the lowest level."Settings > Sound > Volume" Maybe this will help someone.

My mobile is a Lenovo K8. After searching a lot, nothing worked for me, and based on Lenovo call support, this worked finally: Network & Internet > Mobile Network > Enhanced 4G LTE Mode [DISABLE]

Solution: Both "System" volume AND "Play sound for keypad taps" must be ON for the DTMF tones to be sounded. If either System volume or Play sound for keypad taps is off, DTMF tones will not be created.

AndrewL is also correct, the "Play sound for keypad taps" within the phone app must be toggled on or the DTMF tones will not be generated. From within the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Call Alerts and Ringtone > Play Sound For Keypad Taps > On

I had the same very frustrating and troublesome problem and it took me a while to find that I had to turn the System volume on to solve this issue. For me, the phone app setting of Play sound for keypad taps was already set to on, and as that is a more obscure setting, the System volume being off is probably the most likely cause of no DTMF tones, as it was for me.

I did not think that turning off the System volume would have such a crazy side effect of no DTMF tones. And this issue can certainly blindside, especially as DTMF tones are not used by modern cell phones to dial a number, unlike land-line phones when dialing a number, so making a successful cell call can falsely imply that DTMF tones should be working.

I've searched many topics related to dtmf but didn't find what i want. I m simply creating an app which have four buttons that may generate the dtmf tones of the keys 2,4,6,8. I want to send these dtmf tones to a microcontroller and it will then do some work.I have got a code but it didnt work. I m getting ExceptionInInitializer Error.

Hello, I'm bumping into this issue more and more. After I apply a preset (one I've created myself) to my images, my tone curves suddenly have all 16 points (automatically) applied (see screenshots) It happens both on my mobile and on Lr desktop. In the desktop app, I can at least reset the curve, but I can't find a way to reset on mobile other than double click on each point to remove them. Super-annoying! I don't want all those points, how can I avoid this from happening?

Hi everyone,

I wish if this posted in the right forum. I'm going to buy DTMF decoder module to use It with GSM phone (AT commands support), Before getting started I tested a normal call to check if DTMF tones will be received between the 2 parties but I couldn't hear any tones or keypad pressing and tested with many phones smart and old.

So I'm worrying if this DTMF decoder will not works with a GSM phone or will not work at all (even with sim800L) if this signal maybe filtered or removed by mobile network between end users (if it applicable i don't know) ??? I also want to know if DTMF should be captured in outbound calls as same as incoming calls?

Yes I read about some abusive case witch cause this way you took about. Can DTMF modules decode incomming signals through that different channel? Or it means any DTMF project can't be done at all even using Sim800L or any else? Is this forbidden only in my country's mobile operators so?

I was working as Call center representative and remember there were some calls I received and I asked the customer to lock his screen because I heard annoying dial pad tones and this happened too while a normal call with a friend about one year ago.

I want to dial a phone number on a landline with DTMF tones generated by my phone. I tried soldering a 3.5mm audio jack to a phone cable and using my regular phone app, but nothing happened. In this video, this is done by simply playing the tones in to the speaker, but that wouldn't work on my phones either.

You haven't described your landline system. If you hear DTMF when you press the keypad then it is most likely to use them for dialing and playing DTMF on your mobile phone's speaker while held up to the landline microphone (not the speaker which is the earpiece) should work.

Hi, when I call into work, and try to navigate the phone system using DTMF tones (ie press '0' to speak to an operator, etc.) I am unable to do so from my Public Mobile number. Yet, it works perfectly fine if I originate the call from a Rogers (or Fido) hosted mobile number. The issue also arises with a Koodo or Telus Mobility hosted number so this isn't a PM specific issue but rather a Telus Mobility issue.

Yes, that's correct. When I call into work, and press '0' for operator or '2' for sales, the voice menu system just behaves as if nothing happened. The same is true going the other way, if I dial my Public Mobile number from my work line, and then press numbers on my PM phone, I don't hear the DTMF tones on my work phone handset.

I'm trying to call a large company which uses a call routing service to get you through to the right dept. I call the number with my BT supplied landline and phone, successfully, but when I'm requested to speak what my call is about or key in say 1 for Sales, 2 for Accts etc., my voice responses and phone tones are not accepted by the called system.

Basically, I have tried 2 different organisations who I know use the Voice/Keytone call routing system and the result is the same for both. Therefore, I think if all else fails and I need to call them again, I will simply wait for the "Sorry I didn't get that" announcements to expire and wait for an agent to answer. Failing that, I will use my mobile, which I ended up doing a day or so ago, which worked perfectly. If I get a workable solution, I will post on this thread on the off chance that somebody else experiences a similar issue....

Tones for the Spider V are available directly from the Spider Remote App. Click the tone icon at the bottom the select cloud at the top. Sometimes the list is empty so just enter a few letters in the search box there is lots of presets. For example search for Ola to find the tones from Ola Englund. 0852c4b9a8
