Recently I have bought a Samsung Smart TV, from the ES6900 series. I love the capabilities of this TV. I use it for news reading, it has a Spotify app, and best of all, I no longer need a separate media player device to play my movies and music from my network.

Samsung's smart TVs have already come under fire this week for a poorly worded privacy policy that apparently let the devices listen in on owners' conversations. Now, there are reports that the sets are inserting ads "every 20-30 minutes" into users' own, locally stored content. There's been a string of complaints online by customers using third-party video apps such as Plex and Australian service Foxtel, with most referring to rogue Pepsi ads interrupting their viewing. "After about 15 minutes of watching live TV, the screen goes blank, and then a 16:9 sized Pepsi ad (taking up about half the screen) pops up," wrote a professed Samsung smart TV owner on Foxtel's support forums. "It's as if there is a popup ad on the TV."

Totaly agree with 99.9999% percent of all smart tv users,

Samsung,Sony and so on should be ashamed of their stupidity of not at least having a decent media player that can can easily provide simple use of a built in app that caters for photo, video and music replay for home users.

I have two Samsung Smart (Dumb) tvs and a Sony all top of the range, i feel like throwing them all in the bin.

Mike, your type of attitude is the reason large copanies dont put any effort to design something that can just simply be used by all, i am a sound engineer , electronic technician, musician and have dealt with computers of all kind since they were invented and i totally agree with the comments made by all complaining with ease of use of smart tvs.

I have spent hours with Samsung and Sony help service regarding WD My Cloud to no results, i have three top of the range 85 inch smart tv all three are the dumbest tvs i have ever owned, my old smart tvs were much more user friendly and gave me more freedom to do what i wanted on them.

It is not asking too much in 2020 to have wireless access to ALL external devices , it is not asking to much to have USB ports easily accessable on the tvs so you dont have to have extender cables or remove the tv off the wall every time you need to plug in a drive.

Slide show capability software should be on all smart tvs, no excuses.

Sony you can manually access photos one at a time but you cant play music at the same time, absolute rubbish, Samsung is even worse you dont even get a simple app.

My next investment in tv will be the first brand that has worked all theses simple reguirements and presented them to me on a plate, i will no longer be looking at so called well known trusted brand names as they are not to be trusted any more. Its not like they cant make it happen its that they wont so you allways have to upgrage and spend more.

I recently bought a Samsung TV an I install de SmartThings app to manage it. It will be very useful if yo add a keyboard option to the app, so tou can use your phone keyboard to register mails, search webpages, movies I streaming services etc. Is it possible?

Movies Anywhere brings most of your purchased movies and TV shows from different video services under one umbrella for convenient viewing from one lone app. You would still use your streaming apps to stream media, but you could build your collection across services and have them all available in one place.

Samsung Smart TVs have always been absent from the list of supported devices, even though it was available on Samsung's Galaxy smartphones. But that's no longer the case because, as of March 23, Movies Anywhere now officially supports most Samsung Smart televisions. If you own one of these TVs, you should now see the Movies Anywhere app in Samsung's Smart TV App store.

Movies Anywhere is available on Samsung smart TVs. No longer will you have to switch between multiple movie streaming apps every time you want to enjoy the movies you've purchased online. The addition of the Movies Anywhere app on your Samsung TV means you can access all your movies in one place.

Movies Anywhere is a Disney-owned digital locker that allows you to house your film purchases under one roof for free, while also allowing you to watch them on other movie streaming apps. Think of it as giving all your movies one home, while giving them access to other "homes".

You can access your movies anywhere you go (digitally), hence the name. Movies Anywhere works with streaming services such as iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play/YouTube and the Microsoft Store.

Movies Anywhere essentially makes it easier and more convenient for you to manage and watch all your favorite paid-for movies. The idea is that you pay for the movies you like on their respective digital retail stores, but you get to keep and watch them on Movies Anywhere at no additional cost to you.

What's more, those movies should appear in each of the streaming services that are linked to your Movies Anywhere account, allowing you to watch the movies you've bought from one digital retailer on another digital retailer's app.

Movies Anywhere has a Screen Pass feature which allows you to lend most of your library of movies (up to three movies a month) to anyone who has a Movies Anywhere account, without that movie ever leaving your collection.

Gone are the days when you would frequent movie theaters or rent out DVDs to watch your favorite movies. In this day and age, you most likely purchase movies online to watch at your convenience, which often means your digital content is spread out across different platforms.

The small move is a smart one for Samsung, which has dominated TV sales for some time. The whole point of making it easier for people to pay is that it stops them having to think about paying, meaning that they are more likely to buy what you're trying to sell them. By streamlining in-app purchases and making it easier for people to buy or rent a movie on whim, Samsung could sell a lot more extra content.

My experience with Wireless Displays is usually very good, I manage to watch movies with audio in perfect sync. Just for extra information, I use 5GHz Wifi (maybe it helps...) on router Archer C60, and my CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz (not very new but works fine).

The easy way to stream iTunes movies to Samsung Smart TV is using the Apple TV. It can connect iPhone/Mac with Samsung Smart TV. Besides, the iTunes app for Samsung Smart TV is also called Apple TV app. It is compatible with Samsung TVs released on 2018 to 2020 (N and R models).

The Samsung QN90C/QN90CD QLED is one of the best Samsung smart TVs in the upper mid-range category we've tested. Alongside the Samsung QN95C QLED, it's Samsung's flagship 4k LED TV for 2023, featuring an impressive Mini LED backlight to increase the appearance of small highlights and reduce blooming in dark scenes. It's an excellent TV with a great selection of features, so there's something for everyone. It's not quite as good as Samsung's OLEDs in a dark room, though, as there's still some blooming around bright objects, and blacks aren't perfectly deep and inky.

It has a built-in smart interface with a great selection of streaming apps, so you don't have to worry about buying a separate streaming stick to watch your favorite shows. It lacks advanced gaming features like variable refresh rate technology to reduce tearing. Although it supports HDR, it lacks a local dimming feature and can't get bright enough for HDR content to stand out. It comes with the 2023 version of Tizen OS, and you still get the same great remote and tons of apps available to download.

Samsung TVs generally have better picture quality than the average LG LED-backlit LCD TV. Samsung TVs usually get a fair bit brighter and have better contrast, while LG TVs generally have much wider viewing angles and better smart features. While LG has more OLEDs in its lineup, Samsung has released its own OLED TVs known as QD-OLED, which produce brighter and more vibrant colors than LG's OLEDs. LG OLEDs tend to have more features than Samsung's; in particular, LG's recent OLEDs support Dolby Vision HDR and DTS advanced audio format support and have better image processing than competing Samsung models. 0852c4b9a8
