Happy New Year!
We certainly hope you all have enjoyed the break and got to make thoughtful memories with family and friends. As we welcome a brand new year, our schedules will become a bit busier.
The LEGO Club presented their fall creations during a family showcase on December 14. Each group shared what they have learned thus far and demonstrated their programming skills with movable stages, swings and even a miniature bowling alley. We could not be more proud of the confidence each speaker showed and the leadership shown by the FRC Team 9315 Coding Comets who planned and facilitated the entire showcase.
LEGO League gave us a thorough lesson on the layers of the ocean as they demonstrated the tricks their modified submarine could do. Once the team created the submarine required for the season, they were challenged to modify it in some way.
Welcome to the 2025 FRC season, Reefscape!
By now all new team members should have received an email from FIRST Inspires that is required to begin the team registration process. Parents must begin the process. Please check your spam folder if you do not see it. (Returning members are registered.)
Once FIRST registration is done, parent/guardian will need to complete the NoMa STEAM release forms and waivers. Click here.
The 2024-25 season officially began with the FRC Kick-off event on Saturday, January 4 at Lower Richland High School. We had 14 team members and 4 mentors take part in the workshop

Pre-Season Workshop Highlights
We want to say congratulations to our team leaders for putting on a well-planned pre-season event. From start to finish, the workshops were led entirely by the sub-team captains and team members. It covered the gamut from FIRST SC Symposium highlights to safety, coding, design and electrical. Maybe we can have an encore so more of our new members can take part.
Communication
We will continue to communicate via GroupMe with more detailed information coming through email for now. If you are not receiving notifications, please let me know immediately.
