Flow vol. 1
FLOW VOL. 1
A violin at the center, not as the protagonist of a virtuosic writing, but as a narrator and developer of sound stories that evolve in an always unexpected way, now drawing inspiration from rhythmic modules, now from melodic intuitions. The sound becomes a means to build atmospheres and images stemming from the intuition of the violinist composer, who exploits and lives in a cross-cutting way the attitudes of his instrument, placing the construction at the center of the language, without ever losing the taste for improvisation. Minimalism, loops, Mediterranean sounds and filmic sounds with sudden prog rock turns in which it is always the violin that changes skin and pulls the sprint to the instruments that support it.
"An album born from the desire, on the part of my instrument, to become a means to tell sound stories, following a stream, able to stand on the same chord for hours, but what am I saying hours, minutes. The use of loops becomes a canvas on which to enjoy it and pander to a journey that has not set the goal. A minimalist writing that wants to be warm, human, in a world full of sounds here you choose to rein in the shots and get the message straight. The dreamlike atmosphere suddenly give way to disturbed and distorted violins, indulged by fat and piercing rhythms. The idea is that of the journey linked to the dream, which in the end clashes with a disturbed, contradictory and imperfect reality. A free album for writing and production, which on the last track gives us a happy ending, dreamy, melodic and emotional. A work that challenges the rhythm of our lives with dilated tracks in which the first rule is not to be in a hurry and let yourself be pervaded by an idea, simple, effective, and linear, that has to be repeated indefinitely. Flow is a spinning wheel, a rolling ball"
