Remote Sensing for Digital Earth Unit Head

RSLab Member (Trento)

In 2013 she founded the Remote Sensing for Digital Earth unit at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), Trento, Italy. From 2003 to 2013 she conducted research as Ph.D. and post-doc member of the Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienza dell'Informazione (Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science), University of Trento, Italy. She is a member of the Remote Sensing Laboratory (Trento, Italy).

She received the "Laurea" (B.S.), the "Laurea Specialistica" (M.S.) degrees in telecommunication engineering (summa cum laude) and the Ph.D. in Communication and Information Technologies from the University of Trento, Italy, in 2001, 2003 and 2006, respectively.

She has been a research fellow at the Grupo de Procesado Digital de Senales (GPDS), Departament d'Enginyeria Electronica, Universitat de Valencia, Spain (February 2007 - May 2008).

She is mainly interested in the area of remote-sensing image processing; in particular, her interests are related to:

  • Remote sensing.
  • Image and signal processing.
  • Analysis of multitemporal images.
  • Change detection.
  • Machine learning.
  • Pattern recognition.
  • Signal processing.
  • SAR images.
  • Multi- and hyper-spectral images.
  • Radar sounders.
  • Lidar.
