This course introduces basic contemporary dance movement, performance skills, and choreography. The students will also learn basic terminology related to dance. The end-of-semester final exam is a performance. No experience required to enroll in this class.

This course build on the knowledge gained from participation in Dance 1. Successful completion of Dance 1 or placement audition is required for enrollment in this class.

This course teaches intermediate performance skills and choreography beyond the beginning levels. Successful completion of Dance 2 or placement audition is required for enrollment in this class.

Dance 4 (a.k.a. DANCE COMPANY) is a college-preparatory, performance-based class for experienced dancers. This class engages the student in advanced choreographic experiences and performance. The students participate in State and National dance festivals, community performances, and formal and informal concerts. Additional opportunities include Lettering and National Honor Society for Dance Arts. (Entry is by audition only)
