The Multilingual Learner program supports students who are developing proficiency in English while continuing to build on the language and academic skills they bring from their home languages and cultures. Instruction is designed to help students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English while accessing grade-level content.

Multilingual Learners receive targeted language instruction and support based on their individual English proficiency and academic needs. Teachers work to provide meaningful opportunities for students to communicate, collaborate, and engage with grade-level learning while developing the language needed for success across all content areas. The goal is for every student to grow in English proficiency, develop confidence as a learner, and become increasingly independent in accessing the curriculum.
