External audio is patched in over the video since parts of the show were loud enough to cause feedback.

The end of the show is wideshot and video cuts out before the final note due to a standing ovation. Between the wandering and obstruction this isn’t a video for someone unfamiliar with the show, since a lot of action is missed.

Notes: Near perfect capture of this wonderful production. I would highly recommend it to any falsettos fans, they make a lot of creative choices I loved and the cast is fantastic. The action is followed very closely and while there is some washout it’s not too distracting. There is a brief blackout from the very end of something bad is happening (reprise) through the first 30 seconds of you gotta die sometime with external audio patched in due to my battery dying mid show.

I was like 2 miles away from the stage so the camera quality is not great and has some issues with focusing. Beginning also has a lot of problems with shaking and wandering as I had to adapt to the really steep angle. The people in front of me were sharing popcorn so they occasionally lean in and out of frame.

Notes: Mediocre video of this production. The first 30 minutes has a lot of shaking and wandering, as it took me a second to figure out what I was doing. There are heads that obstruct the sides of the stage, and the heads lean together a couple of times to completely block the action. The upper platforms and the center of the stage are mostly unobstructed so when the action is there it is followed. Overall it’s a watchable video, though definitely not my best.

Notes: this theater was absolutely tiny but I did the best I could, the middle of the stage and the far left are obstructed by heads that I couldn’t always work around and it made it difficult when characters moved around a lot. for some reason my camera would not stay in focus when it could not find a face so it swings from focused to unfocused a lot. 2 minute blackout from i leapt into my new life with both feet and the rest of the show is almost completely blindshot due to an usher staring directly at me so there is a lot of wandering. the scenes are mostly just wideshot, telephone wire is pretty good, edges of the world is a trainwreck, and days and days is somewhere in between.

Notes: well this sure is a thing that exists. Highlights running about 30 minutes. Has the first 25 minutes of the show, with video technically starting briefly at “Everyone meet the fates!” before an extended blackout until orpheus is introduced, audio only of all i’ve ever know, all of wait for me, and the last 40 seconds of raise our cups (I forgot to hit record). The middle of the stage is entirely obstructed by a head, and the camera basically follows sydney the whole time. Heads frequently lean into frame and the exposure adjustment is very hit or miss since my camera wasn’t sure what to focus on. This cast is absolutely amazing, I hope someday they get a full video.

This video was supposed to be all Jisel, but because stephanie was on for dawn I tried to get most of her stuff too. Audio starts right at the start of the show but between shaking and wandering the video only gets watchable at opening up. Brief usher dropouts in the negative, and the new dawn rising scene. Shaky at times with a little bit of wandering when scenes get too long. Occasionally I zoom out to get a shot of the lighting/sets.

This is probably the worst of my 3 cfa videos, but I think that speaks more to the other videos being really good rather than this one being bad. Kevin Carolan missed “we got a lot less people to lose” and instead said that too many people would get lost which made me laugh hard enough the camera shakes.

The show was really loud so during some of the bigger numbers the mic fuzzes out, it's mostly not too noticeable except for Hot Stuff where it's the entire song.
