This workshop is designed for maximal interaction between participants. We will live together, cook and eat together, and work together. Mornings will be quiet thinking time, reading papers of mutual interest, doing calculations etc.; afternoons are for collaborative work. Evenings will be social, with sauna, music and anything else we feel like. Some outdoor activities will be arranged, but you can also go for hikes in the evening - there will be 24hrs of daylight!
The purpose of the workshop is to bring together early career researchers to develop ideas together, using expertise from mathematics, physics, and philosophy. We hope that lasting collaborations will begin here. The workshop is centred around ideas in the Foundations of Physics, for example (but not limited to) quantum mechanics, general relativity and quantum gravity, (quantum) thermodynamics. We will aim for a diverse range of backgrounds, and participants will be selected in this light. Applicants are expected to bring projects or project ideas with them, that they are willing to share.
