The meridian way

The meridian way, linking Arkadia to Surya over 2200 km of relatively flat land.

The meridian way is a largely unpaved dirt road. Crushed rock is used to equalize the surface and create a smooth rolling surface.

Arkadian transportation hub, with a surface off road machine, a surface transport tube and a emergency intervention vehicle.

Communication towers link up to an orbital constellation.

A Landcruiser. A cab pulls a pair of trailers holding 48 large containers from one city to the next. The vehicle is entirely autonomous, with a small number of passengers interested in living the experience of the 21 to 22 hour long trip.

Most vehicles are powered by methane and oxygen, with a minority of all electric trucks.

A way station with a local solar power station. The dome offers a comfortable stopping point, while an underground shelter offers protection from radiation in case of a solar storm.



A Landcruiser driving into the Surya main transportation hub. The hub connects land travelers with the city, as well as providing a hub for workers moving to and from the food and solar farms around the city, or to the Spaceport.
