Muh... eh... oye... oh… Muh eh oye oh! -sings Gwenno as she walks through the village-
In the distance, Gwenno sees a mysterious character drop a green scroll on the ground.
You dropped your scroll. -Gwenno says loudly-
But the mysterious character continues walking briskly and turns down the street.
Gwenno reaches the corner, sees that no one is there as she turns the corner, and picks up the green scroll.
Looking at the scroll, she sees that it is a musical score, which appears to be worn and old.
This sheet music is very old; it's been a long time since I've seen sheet music like this, thought Gwenno.
I'm going to take it to Iolo! -said Gwenno, thinking aloud-
Lord British’s Conservatory of Music
Gwenno arrives where Iolo is.
When Iolo sees Gwenno, he sings 'Ho eyo he hum!'
To which Gwenno responds by singing 'Muh eh oye oh!'.
Iolo and Gwenno begin to laugh together.
How wonderful to see you! -said Iolo-
Muh! Likewise! -replied Gwenno, laughing-
I've come to show you something I found. Perhaps you'll recognise it, as it's a musical score I haven't seen in a long time. -said Gwenno-
Iolo takes the score, begins to read it, and says in surprise 'This score belongs to the Age of Darkness'.
It is a score whose notes refer to a sad and desolate time that happened in Sosaria. -said Iolo seriously-
Where did you get this? -asked Iolo, puzzled-
I picked it up in Lakeshire. I saw someone drop it on the ground and picked it up. -replied Gwenno-
Can you play it? -asked Gwenno-
Yes, of course. -replied Iolo-
Iolo picks up his lute and sits down on the chair.
Iolo begins to play.
The melody is very sad. -said Gwenno-
Shall I finish the score? -asked Iolo-
Yes, that's fine. -replied Gwenno-
When he finished the score, a small spark appeared from inside the parchment and began to bounce off the walls.
Get down! -shouts Iolo-
What's that? -asks Gwenno, frightened-
It's a spell inscribed in the score. We were performing an invocation without realising it. -replies Iolo, uneasy-
The parchment, as if it had been burned, begins to disintegrate until it decomposes.
The spark makes a loud noise and shoots out of the window.
No! It went out the window. -shouts Iolo-
We must go and find that spark and capture it. We can't let it get far away or it will be worse. Let's go! -said Iolo-
