Me at Lummi Sea Pond holding a dungeness crab
I am a 4th-year undergrad who is about to graduate from the University of Washington Bothell with a BS in Conservation and Restoration Science. Before I got invested in my research studies, I started working as a waitress, where I learned a lot of people skills along with time management, customer service, and a good work ethic.
This laid out the foundation for college work. During my studies, I gained more understanding of the marine world. I grew up enjoying Shark Week and killer whale documentaries, but this love grew into a passion for marine creatures. During my junior year of college, I started a part-time job, along with waitressing at Red Robin, as an aquarist at Moonlight Aquatics, studying fish health and proper care. This helped me gain experience in the marine world. You can see this in my experiences!
Outside of my work and school life, I enjoy traveling, exploring, and nature, specifically along the Pacific coast, which has shaped my outlook on everyday life through different ways of life. When I'm not exploring, I am usually watching films or surrounding myself with family and friends.
For my future, I am eager to apply my skills and creativity in a meaningful way, through projects or other ways to further my knowledge.
