It's no secret that I'm a big fan of personal hosting solutions. The Recordings tool is pretty basic: It contains a list of all of the videos that your system has recorded. It first separates them based on date, and then further scales it down into two 12-hour windows. You can do the same thing by logging into DSM, but this is a nicer view.

Most cameras support RTP streams, you can view these steams with VLC. There IS a VLC plugin that exports these streams as a software web cam.

OBS will also do this, now with the latest version the webcam driver is built into OBS. As mentioned above if your IP camera support the NDI format then you can go directly into OBS or I (believe) NDI has a windows compatible driver that presents itself as a webcam. While OBS may be a lot more than you need, it does open up quite a few nice options for video switching that feeds into your teams and zoom meetings.

As well as the anycam from above. I realize that you are looking for a plug and play solution but I don't think you are going to find a transparent one like you seek. While that is a very nice camera it doesn't seem to support many of the common "transportable" protocols like NDI but it does support ONVIF interface format. This may be a question from the camera's manufacturer support line. I know some camera lines allows you to embed the user ID and password into the connection URL and other mfgs allow a "basic" authentication mode. Having it discoverable in windows seems like its 80% of the way there.

There are a few versions of the Foscam IP camera tool (also known as Equipment Search Tool), usually, the main one works for all types of CCTV IP cameras and Equipment manufactured by Foscam. However, they have a few versions for some of their special cameras.
