You must update the registration of an Oracle Internet Directory component in a registered Oracle instance whenever you change any of the configuration attributes in Table 8-1 by using LDAP tools, oidpasswd, or ODSM. Smart License registration is performed on the Firepower Management Center (FMC). The FMC communicates with the Cisco Smart Software Manager (CSSM) portal over the internet. In the CSSM, the firewall administrator manages the Smart Account and its licenses. The FMC can freely assign and delete licenses to the managed Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) devices. In other words, the FMC centrally manages licenses for FTD devices.
1. For Smart License registration, the FMC must access the internet. Because the certificate is exchanged between the FMC and the Smart License Cloud with HTTPS, ensure there is no device in the path that can affect/modify the communication. (for example, Firewall, Proxy, SSL Decryption device, and so on).
The registration status of the FMC can be confirmed from Inventory > Product Instances. Check the event log from the Event Log tab. Smart License registration and use status can be checked from the Inventory > Licenses tab. Verify the term-based license purchased is used correctly and there are no Alerts that indicate insufficient licenses.
If the FMC-side values are correct, check the proxy server-side values (for example, if the proxy server permits access from the FMC and to tools.cisco.com. Additionally, permit traffic and certificate exchange through the proxy. The FMC uses a certificate for the Smart License registration).
There can be cases where Smart License authentication cannot be performed correctly due to the effects of a relay proxy or SSL decryption device. If possible, change the route for the FMC internet access to avoid these devices, and retry the Smart License registration.
After registration, the FMC checks the Smart License Cloud and license status every 30 days. If the FMC cannot communicate for 90 days, the licensed function is maintained, but it remains in Authorization Expired status. Even in this state, the FMC tries continuously to connect to the Smart License Cloud.
System Store: Only a single User Identity Store can (and must) be designated as the System Store. This is used to authenticate Administrators signing in to use the Oracle Access Management Console, remote registration tools, and custom administrative commands in WLST.

Haroon, if you have a Floating license, the server end is where the Intel Software License Manager is installed. Please note Intel Software License Manager and Intel Software Manager are two different software applications that serve different purposes. The client end is the end you are planning to install the Intel Parallel Studio XE suite. If you have a Named User license, you do not require a license manager and you can directly install the software using the license.

University Marketing & Communications is responsible for managing the university's image and reputation. As part of that responsibility, the unit oversees the use of the university's name and official marks in marketing materials and advertising. Policies for ensuring that logos and other trademarks are used appropriately in printed materials have been in effect for several years; however, a similar policy for managing domain name registrations did not exist. The attached policy is intended to address this issue by providing a process for overseeing the use of official university names in domain name registrations.
Just as trademarks involving the name of the university or any of its units must be owned by the university, any internet address that includes "UNLV" or the name of any of its individual units or affiliated groups in any form must be owned by the university. Private individuals and nonaffiliated UNLV organizations or groups may not register such Internet addresses. Violations of this policy will result in legal action on the part of the university.
In most cases, the appropriate domain name for university activities will be "edu." For all domain name registrations outside of the unlv.edu domain (e.g., com, net, org) that include an official university name in any form, the unit must contact the director of Web & Digital Strategy for approval prior to registering the name.
