The White House has backed a right-wing educational partner to replace PBS after congressional Republicans effectively killed off the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. The publicly funded entity will shut down after Congress clawed back $500 million of federal funding in President Donald Trump's massive tax-and-spending law, but the Department of Education Secretary Linda McMahon introduced the partnership, followed by PragerU CEO Marissa Streit.

Early today, Netanyahu's security cabinet approved a plan for their takeover of the Gaza Strip, even though hundres of thousands of Palestinians live there. Israel said it believed that the "alternative plan" presented to its cabinet would not "achieve the defeat of Hamas or the return of the abductees". Netanyahu had told Fox News earlier that Israel planned to occupy the entire Gaza Strip and eventually "hand it over to Arab forces". A statement released by the office of the Israeli prime minister said the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) would "prepare for taking control of Gaza city".

Following the same tactic that the Nazi groups in Springfield earlier this year of riding in the back of a transport vehicle, ICE agents did the same thing yesterday at an LA Home Depot (you know, where those "worst of the worst" hang out) in what DHS is calling "Operation Trojan Horse."
A Wednesday immigration raid in L.A. involved a Penske truck driver at a Home Depot saying he was seeking workers, according to a day laborer. Multiple Border Patrol agents leaped from the back of the truck while workers surrounded it and more than a dozen were arrested.

Trump plans to sign an executive order requiring colleges to submit data to prove they do not consider race in admissions, according to a fact sheet shared by the White House ahead of the Thursday signing. In 2023, the Supreme Court ruled against the use of affirmative action in admissions but said colleges may still consider how race has shaped students’ lives if applicants share that information in their admissions essays. Trump's Republican administration is accusing colleges of using personal statements and other proxies to consider race.

The Trump administration plans to terminate two NASA missions monitoring greenhouse gases and plant health, affecting global climate data. Critics argue the decision is shortsighted and vital data will be lost. Congress's response remains uncertain as efforts to secure alternate funding intensify. For days, Texas Republicans have been threatening the state legislators with "legal consequences" for breaking the quorum, a sentiment that Trump also echoed. Texas issued civil warrants for the Democratic lawmakers, but local law enforcement can't make arrests outside the state. The Democrats face a $500 fine for every day they break quorum. The FBI has agreed to cooperate with Texas state law enforcement to locate the 50 Democratic legislators who left the state to avoid a vote on redistricting, Sen. John Cornyn said on today.

When asked on Tuesday about reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to occupy the entire Palestinian territory, Trump said he is focused on getting “people fed” in Gaza. However, the has sent tax dollars to a Israeli-Jewish "non-profit" (GHF) for getting "people fed," and we had seen what they had been doing with the aid at that time. On Tuesday, Trump reiterated his often-repeated claim that the US has provided $60m in aid to Gaza. His administration had provided $30m to GHF.
