A milestone of Forth history begins in 1970 with Charles Moore hired at the NRAO telescope .
He designed his own extensible language which simplified the control&automation of all telescope
observations in a super efficient and revolutionary way.
This new language called for attention of a large list of observatories around the world, and from there Forth
was spread to the world . Soon other scientific branches ,complex machinery & general concept of programming mini
and microcomputers wanted to adopt his concept and the story of success of Forth began !
So we can affirm that Forth was born from the start to be efficient solution in real time control applications,
it is self contained (its own OS and it is vastly written in Forth), so is the perfect choice for embedding applications .
For all these reasons we Forth is one of the best and more powerful options for robotics.
Smart-cars, CNC machines, sensor arrays data acquisition , and all types of high speed instruments in physics, astrophysics, chemistry, but also education and hobby , may win a push by writing their OS & programs in Forth .
