Unlike the birds of the air and the sea creatures which were created on the fifth day God created man and the animals on the sixth day. Perhaps this is why there seems to be an extra closeness or bond between man and animals. When a man was blessed by God the animals which belonged to that man seemed to be blessed also. When Pharoah brought a curse upon the firstborn of the Egyptian people that same curse brought also death not only on the firstborn of humanity but also the firstborn of every animal.

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

In the Holy Bible the Lord Jesus was referred to the "Lion of Judah" and the "Lamb of God." The Good Shepherd's people were referred to as the Lord's sheep. Throughout God's Word the Creator often used animal references to that of people. Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves:be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Revelation 19:11-13 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
