Many of our team members are new to the convention scene, but those who know it know it very well. We're excited to finally share our creations at our favorite cons, and hopefully give back to the gaming community that has given us so much. Our team is based in Kansas City, Missouri, so most of our public appearances will be in the greater KCMO area.
Where are we going next? KantCon! Come see us at Kansas City's best Summer gaming convention. We'll be showcasing our debut game — Deep Spacin' — as well as holding the first public playtest of our next major production: Branches of Rebirth. We can't wait to see what you think of it!
Happy Pride Month everyone! Forever Marsh was once again at KC Pridefest running Palette Quest. We had a wonderful time of (mostly) kind weather, and met so many lovely people. A massive thanks to those that tried out Palette Quest! This year sparked so many ideas of how to run games at non-gaming events more smoothly, and we're excited to put those ideas into practice. Thank you KCGameOn for having us once again — see you next year!
Midwest GameFest 2026 was perhaps our best event to date! It was our second convention since publishing Deep Spacin', and we were (nearly) fully booked the whole weekend. We got a lot of excitement from new Deep Spacin' players, and made some new fans. Welcome everyone!
It was also the debut of Palette Quest v0.2, which featured a complete overhaul to the core dice structure, as well as many of its subsystems. We got some wonderful feedback from all 22 of its wonderful play-testers, and we're excited to keep refining the new system.
We got to make some more new friends and see some again! Once again, we got to see Matt Carson and celebrate both the success of Deep Spacin' and his upcoming sci-fi novel. We also met Mike and Tyson of the Arguing With Dragons Podcast, who were doing interviews of con attendees (you can hear our interview here!). We ended up talking for a good two hours after doing that five minute clip, and came to the obvious conclusion that we should come back to do a full show. Some life emergencies following the end of MWGF put that on the back-burner for a bit, but we're still set on it!
Finally, massive thanks to Midwest GameFest's wonderful volunteers and attendees for once again welcoming us into this community. When we ran our games for the first time in 2024, it was hard to imagine being where we are today, with not one, but two published games (albeit, one of them very small) that we can be proud of. We owe so much of that to the support we got at our very first convention. Thank you.
Gamicon Bromine was an awesome place to launch Deep Spacin'! Thank you to everyone who played the game on its opening weekend — your support is instrumental in giving us the confidence to keep pushing forward and creating.
We made some great friends here as well, who we hope to see at more conventions in the future. Author Matt Carson put on several interesting panels, and we had some great conversations between them.
We can't wait to take Deep Spacin' forward to the next con, now as a fully published game.
Want to see where we've been? We like to keep track of the memories we've made and the pictures we've taken, long after events have past. If you'd like to take a walk with us down memory lane, feel free to look at our past event write-ups.
