The Canadian Forensic Nurses Association (CNFA) is a National organization is a professional association for forensic nurses in Canada. It provides educational resources, networking opportunities, and professional development (CNFA, n.d.). Their mission, values, and goal, all work toward promoting trauma-informed, patient-centred, and evidenced-based forensic nursing practice within Canada (CFNA, n.d.).
The CFNA provides webinars at a fee for non-members and free for members. These webinars consist of various topics such as drugs and alcohol, survivor tools, implications of trauma and violence, legal education and court tips in abuse cases, gender and ethnically diverse practice guidelines, and many more (CFNA, 2024).
The CFNA have almost 100 domestic violence and sexual assault care centres in the country which cater to the immediate needs of these victims (CFNA, 2024).
