Flank Attack
Overview: In this scenario the attacking force is divided between two armies, each attacking from a different direction. If they coordinate their attack well, the defender will be overwhelmed, if they attack piecemeal they will be destroyed one army at a time. Before the battle begins, the Chaos player may decide whether they will be the defender or the attacker.
Army Size: 3,000 points
Battlefield: Arrange the terrain in any mutually acceptable manner on a 4'x4' table. The defender's deployment zone is centered on a hill with several buildings located between the hill and the board edge, representing a village. Place an objective marker at the center of the hill and scatter 2d3 random pieces of terrain on the board.
Deployment:
Who Goes First?: The players roll off and the winner decides whether to go first or second. The player who finished deploying first may add +1 to their die roll.
Length of Game: The game lasts six turns.
Special Rules: At the start of the attacker's second turn, they start to roll to see if the flanking force has arrived. On a roll of 3+ the flanking force turns up. If it does not turn up on turn 2, the flanking force arrives at the start of turn three.
The units in the flanking force move on from the table edge nominated before the battle, in the opponent's half of the table. Units may not charge on the same turn that they move onto the table, but they can march as normal.
Victory Conditions: King of the Hill. The player with more scoring units within 6" of the objective wins.
