The Ford Middle School Beginning Band is for any student who is interested in learning how to play a band instrument, no experience required! Students can start playing the flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, baritone, or play percussion in one of two class periods.

Intermediate band is for students who have one year of experience (or selected students with no experience). Students will continue the progress made in beginning band and will participate in after school concerts, and small ensembles (solos, duets, trios)

The Ford Advanced Band is for students with 2 years of experience (or advanced students with 1 year of experience). This ensemble performs at school events, after school concerts, district festivals, and parades.

Jazz Band is a class that occurs before 1st period that is for experienced band musicians and musicians that play guitar, bass guitar and piano. This is an advanced class that plays a variety of music (Jazz, Funk, Rock and Latin music) and performs at school events, concerts and local festivals.

Ford's drumline is a two day per week class before school. It is open to ANY student at Ford, with any experience level! Students in drumline will learn how to play the snare drum, bass drum, tenor drums, and cymbals and perform at school events, concerts, and drum line contests.

(Participation in a music class is preferred, but not required)
