Your 1st Dual Meet

Generally, these happen during the school week.  The boys will meet at the wrestling room at a time designated by Coach Vito.  Weigh in happens at about 4p.m. and the boys may want to eat and during after weighing in.  The matches usually start at about 5p.m. with the freshman wrestling first.  Your wrestler will only have ONE match.  

Remember, under California Labor Code Section 230.8, with notice, parents with custody of children may take off up to 40 hours each year (not to exceed eight hours in any one month) to participate in their children's school activities if the employer has at least 25 workers at the same location. 

Your 1st Saturday Meet

Your wrestler will need to get to the wrestling room at 6a.m. Weigh in at the match is at about 9a.m.  These matches are usually double elimination (meaning that your wrestler will not finish until they have lost twice).  Assuming he wins (Go Knights!), he may have 4 or more matches.  Depending on the level of organization, these matches may end sometime between 3p.m. and 6p.m.  It will be important that your wrestler eat throughout the meet.  While there is usually a snack bar, youcan probably provide him with a better snack and meal.
