Students are actively interested in Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) and plant life native to the Foothill College region. There is an on campus native garden - https://www.inaturalist.org/guides/413 and also we have been trying to grow and maintain native plants near the Anthropology Department building (3100).
Student Lynn Porcedda has been spending her energies creating incredible signs for the campus to use. We are interested in connecting campus students and visitors with a broader understanding of the lands. The hope is to expand this to a better understandings of the creeks running through campus as well.
