The rules
Football is a very popular sport played all over the world. Two teams play against each other, and each team has eleven players. The game is played on a large field with a goal on each side. The players try to score goals by kicking the ball into the other team’s net. They can use their feet, head, or body, but not their hands. Only the goalkeeper can use hands, and only near the goal. Football has simple rules. Players must play fair and cannot push, hit, or kick other players. If someone breaks a rule, the other team gets a free kick or sometimes a penalty. The ball must stay inside the field, and if it goes out, the other team gets the ball. A football match has two halves of forty-five minutes each. At the end of the game, the team with more goals is the winner.
