Milestone 6: Presentation of Learning Journey

Essential Question of Milestone 6

How did our solution and learning journey answer the driving question and make an impact?

Welcome to the final stage of our project based learning experience! In this stage, we will share our learning and our solution with various authentic audiences as well as you the reader of our work. We will present our work in a way that showcases our understanding of the driving question and the impact we have made on the world.

Project based learning (PBL) is a teaching method that engages students in solving real-world problems or answering complex questions through a project1. PBL helps students develop deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills2. PBL also empowers students to take ownership of their learning and make it personally meaningful3.

The final stage of PBL is not just about showing off the final product, but also about reflecting on the process of learning. We will explain how we investigated the problem, how we applied our knowledge and skills, how we collaborated with others, how we revised and improved our work, and how we responded to feedback4. We will also celebrate our achievements and identify areas for further learning.

We hope you enjoy our presentations below and learn something new from it.

Process Notes

What are process notes?   Below is a collection of student artifacts explaining the skills they developed through their journey; field notes, photos, and hard evidence to understand the bigger WHY.  Students developed  a deeper understanding of a topic and analyzed its current status, created a mental model to communicate a clear message that illustrates a topic and inspires a change in others.
