1. Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team in developing innovative antimicrobial technologies for food safety. This research focuses on the application of antimicrobial LED lighting to control foodborne pathogens and spoilage microorganisms. The successful candidate will work on evaluating antimicrobial efficacy, biofilm inhibition, and elucidating the underlying mechanisms using transcriptomic analysis and electron microscopy.
2. Research Topics
Evaluation of foodborne pathogen inactivation on food surfaces
Investigation of biofilm inhibition on various food-contact surfaces
Mechanistic studies using transcriptomics
3. Qualifications
Ph.D. in Food Microbiology, Biotechnology or a related field
Expertise in microbial inactivation, biofilm studies, or antimicrobial materials
Experience with molecular analysis (e.g., transcriptomics) and bioinformatics is preferred
Strong publication record in relevant research areas
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
4. Employment Details
Contract: 1-year contract (renewable based on performance)
Location: Chung-Ang University, Anseong Campus, Republic of Korea
Start Date: May 1, 2025
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
