Process:
If you are a new diaper recipient, please read the FAQs at the bottom of the page before doing anything else.
Fill out the delivery form above or, if you are unable to, contact us at clothesnotbombsraleigh@gmail.com or (919) 307-6606 and we will fill it out for you
Watch your email and texts to make sure we don't contact you about your order - sometimes people fill out the form incorrectly and if you don't respond you might get the wrong sizes.
Once we've delivered your diapers you will be asked to fill out a survey for the Diaper Train which you can do online, via paper copy, or call us over the phone to fill it out for you.
Frequently asked Survey Questions:
How do I answer the second question, "Location I received diapers?"
Community Partner Agency. Food Not Bombs is a community partner agency and that's what they're asking.
How many diapers do I get for each size?
See table below (3rd row)
What sizes do you offer? Do you offer adult sizes?
See table below (1st row)
What sizes of diapers / pull-ups should I get?
See table below (we got the answers online so use your best judgement) (2nd row)
We volunteers do not know anything other than this so if you're asking for someone else, please ask them for the child's weight/size since we can't give reliable diaper size information.
I signed up late or forgot to sign up, will I get diapers this month?
If you signed up after the due date, unfortunately you won't receive diapers until next month. You can verify this by contacting us though just to make sure
I've heard that diaper train gives out diapers every 4 weeks which is more frequently than once a month. Can I switch over?
Of course! Just let us know and we'll get you transferred over.
When do I get my diapers?
Deliveries tend to be around the middle of the month to later half of the month
Can I change my address, information, or diaper sizes after submission?
Sizes: Need to have info before the 1st of the month since we can't change it once we submit to Diaper Train
Any other info (address, names, etc): You can change that up until delivery so contact us as soon as you know and we'll let you know if it's too late
My child is in between sizes. What do I do?
Diaper Train can only supply one size so you'll need to choose one. Most people size up
Is this free?
Yep! Everything is free
Will the diapers be in their original packaging?
Diapers are generally purchased in bulk and sorted into plastic bags by volunteers using disposable gloves to be as sanitary as possible. Certain packs will be in their original packaging (some of the youth s/m and youth l/xl diapers, for instance) but the others are generally not.
Do I need to prove anything? Need documentation?
No, we don't means test or require documentation of any kind for any Food Not Bombs services and as long as you go through our delivery program we don't need to for Diaper Train either.
I don't have an address for delivery
That's okay - as long as you're in Wake County you can pick them up at our Moore Square weekly distributions from 3-5 PM on Saturdays. Just wait for us to contact you to let you know they're available. If you're staying at multiple locations (hotels/households/etc) you can also say that on the form and we'll contact you when your delivery is ready to get a current address if you prefer delivery.
Can I request diapers for children from another household? (Family/friends/etc)
Of course, just make sure you list the appropriate address/pick up information based on where the diapers need to go (so if they have a different address please fill out the form a second time for them). If you're having them delivered to the same address please make a note that it's for two families since Diaper Train likes to keep a record of how many families they've provided diapers to.
I'm forgetful and/or busy and will forget to sign up every month. Is there anything to help with that?
There's a google calendar above that you can add to your own calendar
Can I request sensitive/special diapers?
Unfortunately, as of 5/9/2023 we are no longer able to accept sensitive/special diapers per the Diaper Train. You can request for us to see if any other volunteer programs nearby have any but that's as much as we can do.
My child is past diapers and pull-ups and is ready to move onto big kid undies. Can I get help with that?
We don't currently have a system set up to help with that but you can contact us and we'll notify you if anything comes up
Who do I contact with questions?
You can contact us at clothesnotbombsraleigh@gmail.com
I'm outside the delivery range of 20 miles. What do I do?
You can sign up to pick them up at Moore Square during our weekly Saturday distributions between 3 and 5 PM. We will contact you ahead of time to schedule a Saturday that we'll bring them for you to pick up.
Are there any locations that are not able to get diapers delivered? I'm confused on what's inside the radius
We do not deliver to Wendell or Willow Springs because they are outside our delivery radius
I'm outside Wake County. What do I do?
Due to rules with the Diaper Train we cannot supply you diapers through Food Not Bombs but we can work with you to attempt to find you another organization that can help you. Please contact us.
I need help with other *small* baby supplies (non-edible physical items such as clothing, bottles, etc) as well. What do I do?
We don't currently have a system set up to help with that but you can contact us and we'll notify you if anything comes up
I need help with baby food/formula/etc. What do I do?
You can sign up for our grocery delivery program and request baby formula/food. Deliveries are usually a few weeks to a month out due to the large number of requests for assistance. We also have other links near the bottom of the page through other organizations.
I need help with *large* baby supplies (cribs, walkers, swings, etc). What do I do?
We aren't necessarily able to help with these items but you can contact clothesnotbombsraleigh@gmail.com and we'll work with you to see what we can do. Please first check out our links at the top of the page for "Connect with community members to obtain items such as formula/diapers/furniture/etc"
I have a complaint about my diaper order. What do I do?
If it's about a size or delivery specific issue, feel free to let us know at our contact information above. If it's about anything else (diaper number, how diapers are packaged, how wipes are packed, wipe number, wipe or diaper type, etc) please fill out the Client Outcomes Survey link near the top of the page. This survey goes to Diaper Train directly for them to evaluate their processes. We at Food Not Bombs cannot pass on information - they'd rather hear it directly from people through their surveys (we've discussed this with them and that's what they asked for). If you are unable to fill out the survey let us know and we'll fill it out for you over the phone.
